Research & Development Executive
Drip Be Coffee is a leading drip coffee manufacturer committed to delivering exceptional coffee experiences. We are looking for a passionate and innovative Research & Development Executive to join our team. This role is key to ensuring that we continue to develop high-quality coffee products that delight our customers.
Job Summary:
As the Research & Development Executive, you will be responsible for leading the development of new coffee products, improving existing recipes, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the production, quality control, and marketing teams to bring innovative coffee products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Research, design, and develop new drip coffee blends and products, experimenting with different beans, roasting techniques, grind sizes, and brewing methods.
- Sensory Evaluation: Conduct taste tests to evaluate the flavor, aroma, body, and overall quality of coffee products, making adjustments as needed.
- Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive products to identify new opportunities for product development.
- Recipe Creation: Develop and refine brewing guides, recipes, and instructions for new and existing coffee products.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet Drip Be Coffee’s standards for taste, aroma, and consistency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure new products can be efficiently scaled up for mass production.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of product formulations, testing processes, and sensory evaluations.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with coffee industry trends and new brewing technologies to continuously improve the product line.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a barista, coffee roaster, or in a coffee-related R&D role.
- Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiling.
- Excellent sensory evaluation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct market research and apply findings to product development.
- Creative thinking with a passion for innovation in the coffee industry.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a coffee manufacturing or specialty coffee environment.
- Certification in coffee-related programs (e.g., SCA, Q Grader) is a plus.
